Hi RichardPB, are there any plans for handguards that will fit with the OEM screen?

    Hello Tom,

I will check with our development staff and come back to you as soon as I can.

Just received my handguard. But I don't know how to remove the retaining clip - step 1 of the fitting instructions.

A video could be better than a simple image  :001:

    Could you help on this?

There are some vids on YouTube. Do you need to take out the complete OEM assembly for these or can you not just swap the end weights?

Best to first wrap tape around the OEM end weight (I used Gaffer tape) and clamp this with mole grips then hold that and undo the end screw to release the end weight. There is locktite on the screw so make sure you have a good fitting screwdriver.

The retaining clip needs a small screwdriver inserted between the outer rim of the clip and the handlebar inside to release the spring tongue/clips that are located in holes in the handlebar...

Thank you for your answer (very fast).

My issue is the retaining clip. I can't locate it.

    Hello,

Unfortunately we do not have a video showing the removal of the retaining clip.

    Kind Regards,

I lost interest in that video inside of 30 seconds...

Depicted there is exactly why some folk shouldn't be allowed spanners!

    I agree with Art.
I was expecting the person in the video to get out a great big hammer and a crowbar at one point!

I'm curious why the handlebar balance weights have to be removed in order to fit handguards.
