After driving +500km / +300m, I find that at speeds above 100 kmh / 55mph (177cm / 5.8ft) the standard windshield in the highest position (in solo driving without a topcase) causes unpleasant rumbling air swirls around the helmet. When you put your hand out, you feel as if the air was vibrating in specific places. This increases the noise like knocking on the surface of the helmet. I was surprised because most articles praise the wind protection of the NT1100. I will put a deflector on my other bike for a test and see if it helps.

Right,  I’m 1,87m.  First I tried a deflector on the stock screen and it was quite fine , but I wished a uniform surface for aesthetic reason and bought the MRA tall screen + 11 cm, and I’m a bit disappointed,  the results  is not as good as the first assembly. Mounting  a variable position deflector seems better for the helmet. But my experience proves that the deflector screen must be very close the windshield, and vertical, hence with very short arms, that’s not available, so I had to shorten the two side cranks.
I plan to keep the high MRA ws + deflector, btw I should get a better low protection as the wide and low part of the windshield should stay on a mid height.

Hi , 178 here , a bit  longer on the upper part of the body , and a SHoei Neotec II helmet , also a bit  concerned about the rumors i have experienced with windshield at its highest position.  I have placed a central deflector and it helps a lot , without takin me to Nirvana still makes a significant step forward.

Hello, because the swirling air behind the shield in the highest position at a speed above 100 km/h was bothering me a lot, I thought about what to do with it... and tried :-) the solution for me seems to be changing the angle of the shield  :046:

I used purchased rubber mats with a total thickness of 1 cm. I also had to use a longer bottom screw on both sides. The result is worth it, the shield is 10 degrees more inclined   :152: it works well even at a speed of 150 km/h  :028:

Has anyone tested a Givi shield?

I'm 198cm, so I'm thinking about replacing the original.

This windscreen is perfect for me, it is taller and wider and also stronger than the original one.

For reference I am 1.77 mt high and in the highest position I could smoke a cigarette without any turbulence  :152:

    It is from Puig
