Has anyone fitted the factory Honda foglights to Heed crash bars on the NT?

    Hi,

I asked the question of possibility to mount the original honda fog lights on Heed. their reply: not possible.
during the installation of the Hepco&Becker i understood why - it has to do with the way the crashbars are fixed in the middle (on top of the radiator).
this mounting point is also used for the fog lights - it is either crash bars of fog lights. (or special mounting system on the bars such as H&B provides)

if you have fog lights fitted you need to remove the radiator and the complete exhaust in order to mount (any brand of) crash bars

I fitted Hepco & Becker bars and Honda fog lights with H&B kit back to place.
Took some time, not plug & play install as I thought it to be. :033:

Did you have to remove the rad and exhaust to fit these?

Didn't when I fitted mine but it is tight to reach the lower frame mount at the front and the rear mount behind the brake lever does require the brake lever to be released

I had to loosen up exhaust but it was enough. I took manifold bolts off and removed muffler (to reduce weight). Then there was space enough to mount the bars. On the radiator I did not have to touch at all.
Original fog lamp clamps are connected on the middle where is motor mount. Problem is long bolts over there. With the bars came even longer bolt.

For me the crashbars are a must, this is of course based on some experience (twice  :033:). Luckily not with NT, but with NC750, serious crashes - no damage to the engine and radiator at all.

Just installed HEED top and bottom crashbars. Way cheaper than H&B and they appears to be good quality (I hope not to test them soon). Few of the bolts are quite tricky to install, especially if you are alone with this activity  :084:. It took me more time than expected to fit them but I think worth it.

BTW riding season here in Bulgaria is open, looking forward many many kilometers this summer   :082:.
