Members Map

The forum provides a members map which gives an overview of members locations around the world.

Use of the map is purely optional and members are not required to provide any map location information unless they wish to do so.

The location of pins on the map are publicly viewable, consequently we would advise that members using the map and providing their location should view this as an approximate location only, such as a town or area nearby. Members should not provide their exact address unless they wish to do so.

b) Adjust email notification preferencies
c) Adjust and review preferencies relating to how the forum appears to you
d) Adjust preferencies in relation to other forum members (such as buddies)

Cookie Policy

About Cookies

This Cookie Policy (this “Policy”) explains the different types of cookies and tracking that may be applied during your visit to our forum, website, application, or other online service that links to this Policy. By using or accessing this website/forum, you are consenting to our use of cookies and tracking technologies as described below.

1. What is a cookie?

“Cookies” are small pieces of data (often text files) that are placed on your computer or device by the websites you visit. As a standard feature of major browser applications, cookies are widely used to make websites work or operate more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of those websites about users’ browsing experiences. When users return to those same websites again, their browser sends the previously-stored cookies back to the website, which allows it to recognize the user and remember important information to make his or her use of the website more personalized or convenient (e.g., by remembering the user’s saved preferences).

Although cookies serve many valuable functions, some users may prefer not allow them or to limit their use by the websites they visit. Many browsers give you the ability to manage cookies to suit you by changing your browser settings. For example, some browsers will allow you to set up rules to manage cookies on a site-by-site basis, which gives you the ability to disallow cookies from websites that you do not trust. More information about cookies and details of how to manage or disable them can be found on All About Cookies and About Cookies .

PLEASE NOTE: if you choose to disable cookies on the website/forum, your experience may be diminished and some of the Site’s features and/or functionality may not work as intended. It will certainly not work as intended for logged in Members.

Types of cookies:

Session: temporary cookies that are automatically deleted when you close your web browser.

Persistent: cookies which stay on your computer and remember your settings the next time you come back.

First Party: these cookies are set by this website/forum.

Third Party: these are cookies from other websites, whose content has been embedded within the website you are visiting, for example, display advertising content. Please be aware that by visiting any links to external websites, which have been posted on the forums, or by clicking on any of the items featured in the sidebars, you will possibly be subject to additional cookies from these websites.

See:  Types of Cookies used by Google

Note that on a mobile device a "mobile device identifier" may be used instead of a cookie.

2. Where do cookies on this site come from?

Cookies may be placed on your device or computer by us when you visit our website. These cookies are called “first party” Cookies. Some cookies may however be placed on your device by a party other than this website. These cookies are called “third party” cookies. Therefore some cookies that have been set when visiting our site are not related to us. When you visit a page with content embedded from, for example, Google Ads, or another advertiser, these service providers may set their own cookies on your web browser. They remember that you have visited a website and this information may be shared with other organizations such as other advertisers.

3. Cookies, tracking technologies and interest-based advertising

Third party vendors, including Google, may place a cookie on your computer, or use mobile identifiers on your device, in order to serve targeted advertising based on your browsing behaviour.  Google's use of such cookies enables it, and its partners (ad technology providers), to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Please be aware that personal data will be used for personalisation of ads and that cookies may be used for personalised and non-personalised advertising. Note that in this context personal data is not your forum profile account data which is not shared with any third parties.

You may opt out of advertising programs that track your activities across multiple websites to deliver personalised advertising content to you by visiting Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, Your Online Choices, NAI Opt Out Page, and the Ad Choices Opt Out Page

For more information please refer to the Google Privacy Policy which can be found at Google Privacy Policy

You may control the way information Google's uses to show you ads by visiting Google Ad Settings

To see how Google will use your personal data when consent is given see: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services

We do not control the use of third party cookies/mobile identifiers and cannot access them due to the way that they work, as cookies can only be accessed by the party who originally set them. You should check the third party websites for more information about the cookies they set.

Note that advertisers don’t know who you are because the information that is collected can’t be used to identify you personally. It is based on browsing activity to deliver advertising that reflects these interests. Consequently, blocking cookies from advertisers will not block advertisements, you will merely see ads that no longer reflect your interests. On a motor cycle based forum this means that adverts would no longer reflect that subject matter.

4. How do I manage cookies?

You may refuse or accept cookies from the Site at any time by activating settings on your browser. Information about the procedure to follow in order to enable or disable cookies can be found on your Internet browser provider’s website or via your browsers help screen. Refer to All About Cookies for information on commonly used browsers.

Please be aware that if cookies are disabled, not all features of this website will operate as intended. This is especially true for logged in "Members".

5. List of "first party" cookies used on this website

This is a list of the first party cookies set by this website and what each is used for. None of these cookies collect any personally identifiable information about you, nor track your movements from or to other websites:

"NT1100Cookie444" - (persistent - expires 120 minutes) - keeps you logged into the forum

"PHPSESSID" - (session) - This cookie is native to PHP (the scripting language in which the website is written). It enables the forum to establish a user session and to pass state data via a temporary cookie. It expires when you log out of the forum.

"cookieconsent_status" - (persistent - expires after 1 year) - Remembers that you have clicked 'OK' to accept the cookie notification message and keeps it hidden on future visits.

Updates to these policies

We may update these policies from time-to-time, particularly as technology changes. You can always check this page for the latest version.
